Angel Flight
Angel Flight is the only nationwide organization of volunteer pilots, who donate their time to transport patients in need of specialized treatment unavailable locally. As one of 1,200 pilots in the South Central Division, Jacob has flown many missions. Following the widespread destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Garza also volunteered for a mission carrying much needed supplies to aid hurricane victims.

In addition to medical flights, AFSC also:

• Maintains stand-by lists of pilots for organ transplant recipients
• Provides emergency transportation in the event of a national disaster or terrorist attack
• Flies other missions of compassion, on a case-by-case basis
