At the age of 26 Jacob founded his first corporation followed by two more in the space of five years. The most recent, Property Automation Software Corporation was a developer and distributor of top-selling software for the property management industry.

A four-time recipient of the prestigious Fast Tech 50 Award which recognizes the fastest growing technology companies in the greater Dallas Fort Worth area, Property Automation was also ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the nation. He grew the companies organically, without any venture capital funding. Early on, Jacob recognized the value in building industry relationships. Alliances with Century 21, Hewlett-Packard, Yahoo! and Microsoft proved to be instrumental in driving sustained revenue growth. Additionally, he forged relationships with nationally recognized publishers and frequently spoke at industry-related conferences.
